Dr. Vu is a general dentist serving the south bay communities by practicing in 2 locations and consulting for others. She received her dental degree from Creighton University in Omaha, NE and completed her General Practice Residency (Hospital Residency) at UCSF-Fresno Valley Medical Center in Fresno, CA. She is the subject matter expert (SME) for the CA Dental Board Peer Review Committee. She received her Mastership Award from the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), the highest honor bestowed to general dentists. She is the editor for multiple research papers and private dental programs. She is the immediate past president of the Northern CA Academy of General Dentistry organization and mentored students from both local dental schools: UoP and UCSF. She sits on multiple boards, in addition to teaching and volunteering with the United Way Foundation in Florida. She trained with multiple dental and medical organizations for adult sedation and hypnosis. Furthermore, she completed a mini-residency in pediatric conscious sedation at the University of Florida, Gainesville to work with the young special needs population. She became the first dental director for Citrus County Public Health Dept. in Inverness, FL. Under her directive as a first-time public health dentist, the clinic received the prestigious American Academy of Pediatrics Healthy Kids Tomorrow grant of $250,000. With the additional funding, she added a surgical unit to better service the more vulnerable patients. Her clinic became the model for others to follow nationwide. She continued as a consultant for low income clinics to thrive in rural areas.Throughout her career, Dr. Vu has received many awards and recognitions for her strength in community services and volunteer work. Dr. Vu is multilingual as she is knowledgeable in American Sign Language (ASL) and Vietnamese.
