For many, high school can be a time of great uncertainty and confusion. Not for Dr. Heyrani. By the time she graduated, she knew exactly what she wanted to be: a Dentist. She had always loved working with her hands. And, as she explains, “dentistry mixed my passion for science with my interest in art.” After completing her studies at the University of California, Irvine School of Biological Sciences, Dr. Heyrani went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the UCLA School of Dentistry. She further continued her training and performed her general practice residency at the prestigious Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. While in dental school, Dr. Heyrani was invited to join the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, the oldest organization of its kind in the world. She also belongs to the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Heyrani speaks English, Spanish and Farsi. While she uses her expertise in cosmetic and implant dentistry to treat smiles of all ages, Dr. Heyrani particularly enjoys working with children. “I am very family-oriented,” she says. “I love kids and work really well with them to overcome their fears.” She also provides free dental care and education to school children at numerous local health fairs. What does Dr. Heyrani do for fun? “I like to go swimming, watch the New York Knicks and perfect my culinary skills.
