A native of Northern Virginia, Dr. Abdel-Wahab completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Neuroscience with Honors from the College of William and Mary. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Howard University College of Dentistry among the top students in her class, receiving a number of awards and distinctions throughout her years of study there. She completed her post-doctoral Orthodontics residency at Howard University College of Dentistry, becoming board-eligible with the American Board of Orthodontics after passing her examinations. Dr. Abdel-Wahab is continuing through the rigorous process to be a Diplomate with the American Board of Orthodontics, a high distinction that only 25% of all current Orthodontic specialists are able to attain.Dr. Abdel-Wahab is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics and the American Dental Association. She is Invisilign certified and has received extensive training in treating crowding, cross-bites, skeletal jaw discrepancies, and other orthodontic malocclusions.Dr. Abdel-Wahab is passionate about her profession as an orthodontist; her favorite part is seeing the joy in her patients’ faces when unraveling their smiles once their treatment is over.When not working on beautiful smiles for her patients, Dr. Abdel-Wahab enjoys spending time with her husband and their two boys.
