Dr. Joseph Alwan was born in Lebanon and came to America in 1993. He worked in many fields to support himself while being a full time student. In 1994, he started studying at Los Angeles City College and, in 1996, he graduated with a certificate in dental technology and became a certified dental technician. He worked as a dental technician in dental laboratories while attending the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) where, in 2003, he earned his Bachelor ‘s of Science degree in Neuroscience and a Master’s of Science degree in Oral Biology in 2005.In 2008, Dr. Alwan graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry (LLUSD) with his degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Shortly after, he decided to join the US military and serve his country. In August of 2009, he joined the US Army and served for 8 years. Dr. Alwan had been stationed in several places, both domestic and abroad.
